How AFF Came to Be:
A Message from the Founder
AFF was born in 2018 from the need for a safe and easy way to find activity partners. The idea started when I was about to go skiing alone in Lapland. Skiing outside the slopes alone is not safe or sensible, and dating apps or Facebook groups didn’t provide the right platform for finding activity partners.
Story continues
During the strange spring of 2020, while looking for a riding buddy for my snowmobile, I realized there had to be a clearer way to find activity partners. This led me to design the functionalities of AFF, ensuring they were clear for users of all ages.
After seeking investment support from the ELY Center (Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment), the app started to take shape. Finally, in the winter of 2024, AFF is here to help you find friends for activities, whether at home or on trips.
I hope this app will be helpful and beneficial for people both in daily life and on vacations!
